Stress-Free Holiday Event Ideas

Can you smell the pumpkin spice and Christmas cheer yet? The holidays are upon us, and Go Savvy is looking forward to celebrating this magical time of year with you and your company!

For some, however, this season can be stressful. Many people either experience normal holiday stress or pull-your-hair-out stress. Do any of these thought patterns sound familiar?

Normal Holiday Stress: Where did this year go? How am I going to finish all my Christmas shopping? Plan the vacation? And ensure it’s a memorable season for the family? There’s not enough time!

Pull-Your-Hair-Out Stress: All I see is deadlines, deadlines, deadlines… Healthcare re-enrollment, flu-shots, quarter close, year-end financials... AND I’m already behind! How will I get it ALL done by year-end?!?!

The holiday season can be stressful… But it doesn’t have to be all about the looming deadlines and high expectations we demand of ourselves for the “perfect” holiday season. Check out our festive stress-free ideas the 2019 holiday season.

Host a pumpkin carving contest at the office

Host A Pumpkin Carving Contest For Your Employees & Their Families.

There’s nothing like some quality family time! All you need is a bunch of pumpkins, a plastic sheet to cover the area, and carving tools. Let the creativity flow and the bonding happen!

Hold A Community Food Drive Event & Give Back To Those In Need. Giving back to your local community is a great way to take the stress out of the holidays! It can be as simple as connecting with a charity and scheduling a day to serve. It’s a great way to get into the giving spirit!

Challenge Your Colleagues To A “Decorate Your Workstation” Contest. Encourage your employees to go all-out and decorate their desk space, cubical, or office door. Then host a contest for the best, most creative, or company favorite! Throw in a reward to up the ante.

Enjoy A Relaxing Happy Hour. Instead of hosting an expensive and formal dinner, just make it casual. Let the bar or restaurant do the work. Take the edge off with a strong margarita (or drink of your choice).

Take The Stress Away With A Mental Health, Body, & Soul Day. With all of the holiday stress, you and your employees could use a little TLC. Treat your team to a relaxing yoga session, lunch at a local restaurant, and a light gift exchange. It’s a full day of rejuvenation!
